Anushree and Sanat Delhi Style Bengali Wedding

Real Weddings Uncategorized Wedding Planning

When a little of Bengal, Bihar and Delhi culture mix together, weddings like Anushree and Sanat happen!

Meet the couple Sanat and Anushree

They both hail from different cities in India so they chose to have a close intimate Delhi wedding at Mannat Farms.

“The lush green lawns with stunning setting, super impressive service and delish food made them opt for this property”, says the bride.

The Wedding

Directly from the bride:

Honestly speaking I wanted to walk the aisle in a Sabyasachi lehenga to get that royal look, but I could not convince myself to splurge on something that I would never ever wear in my entire life. So I decided to buy my lehenga from Chandni Chowk. I must admit I chose my Lehenga under immense stress since I could only manage a 4-day visit to Delhi before my wedding. But I finally found my Lehenga at Kamal Bhai, Chandni Chowk and it was love at first sight.

For sarees and other wedding outfits, I was super lucky to get stellar deals at Meena Bazaar; Greenways, Greater Noida and Deepam, Bengaluru. For Sanat, we picked a light-but-classy sherwani teamed up with a heavy maroon velvet dupatta that made the whole look rich and elegant at the same time.

Finalising MUA was a simple affair for me since I had seen Farida’s work at my sister’s wedding. There were no proper makeup trials, no multiple meetings. I just met her once when I visited Delhi and gave her a very lucid brief of not making me look over-the-top. I can’t thank her more for recommending the gold smokey eyes look for my wedding day. I loved every bit of what she did, right from hairstyle to makeup!

My gold jewellery was bought from Tanishq and PC Jewellers. However, I decided to pick a light yet beautiful kundan set from BG’s South-Ex to wear on my wedding day. I somehow could not find the perfect maang tikka and nath with the set. So I had to settle with the only option available at BG’s.

For my haldi, I bought some gota and floral jewellery from Ridhi Kaul. I wore a simple and easy-to-carry yellow saree for my Haldi.
