Sydney-raised media personality Divya Dhingra married Indian financier Gurjap Singh Kohli in March 2017 in the most extravagant Bollywood style wedding, billed as the Australia’s biggest Indian wedding till date!
With 5 elaborate events spread over 6 months, 1500 guests at just one event, a helicopter entrance by the bride and groom, fireworks, elaborate dance routines and a 10-tier cake, the wedding at Rosehill Garden was spectacular and grand.
The entire wedding was an elaborate affair celebrated in Delhi and Sydney involving tens of thousands of guests from Canada, Australia and India. Many rituals like mehendi, haldi, gurudwara wedding happened in India but the final bollywood wedding and reception was done at RoseHill Sydney.
The bride, Divya always dreamt of a Bollywood wedding and her husband supported her in accomplishing her every fantasy and dreams.
There was dancing and singing and performances by Brazilian dancers, fireworks, and drummers.
Another key highlight of the wedding was the two meters high wedding cake with lace icing and Swarovski crystals placed under a glass chandelier. The couple used a sword to cut the cake.
It’s not easy to plan such a show with 1500 guests at the reception. Kudos to the newly weds and the team who put together this show to cherish for a lifetime!!
